I love both dogs and cats. I like dogs better, but cats are less maintenance than dogs. I am thinking about adopting a pet this weekend...they are having this big pet drive at the North Shore Animal League. What should I get? It's hard to pick!
I woke up to Channel 7 Eyewitness News this morning here in NY and they were showing all the animals up for adoption live from there....decisions.
When I was young, it seemed that life was so wonderful, a miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical. All the birds in the trees, well they'd be singing so happily, joyfully, playfully watching me. But then they sent me away to teach me how to be sensible, logical, responsible, practical. And they showed me a world where I could be so dependable, clinical, intellectual, cynical. There are times when all the world's asleep, the questions run too deep for such a simple man.

I have a dog here if you would like to adopt him. He may attack you at first but once he gets that out of the way he's your best buddy forever. (only kidding) I would never do that to him. He turned out to be the biggest mush. In other words he's the male version of Sybil. I like all all animals myself so whatever you would think best fits your lifestyle go for that. I agree with "erl" that some cats are bitchy. You need to pick one that purrs the moment you pick it up.I'd love to have a cat too but my furniture please with those claws and I don't believe in de-clawing. So for me it will always be a dog although I grew up with cats and they can be great companions too if they're not bitchy like my mom'm cat. He's so beautiful and such a brat.
I vote for a dog. You can play ball, frisbee, and other stuff with him/her!
Are you going to name him after a Yankee player?
My vote is for a ceramic pig...oh wait you HAVE one of those...
As the anti-things that shed person let me suggest a tropical fish...maybe not as cute and cuddly but they sure are exciting to watch swim in circles...
Good point though Molly, Piggie Smalls will have to get along with my choice, so I better choose wisely! :)
