My TV Dad

Sunday is Father's Day, a day to recognize and pay tribute to our dads. In real life, dads try their best. Some are really cool and nice, some may be quiet, some overbearing, some may be downright insane. I am sure all of our fathers are different in many ways. They say you can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family and that is true. My dad is great, but, I would not mind a TV dad. If you could have any TV dad as your father, who would it be? Here are some of my choices:

Tony Soprano- This is one cool dude. So, what's a murder here and there. This guy would be great to have as a dad.

Ozzy Osbourne- Do I need to elaborate?

Al Bundy- Beer and hangin' at the nudey bar with dad!

Frank Costanza- Just for the laughs.

Who would you pick?

I can't think of any TV Dad but my dad was the coolest, best dad ever. He's gone 25 years but I have great memories and my friends all called him by his first name,"Al" no not Al Bundy. I still have a letter he wrote me when I was 16 while he was at a meeting at work.He wanted to let me know that he was proud of me and that I could go to him for anything. That was 31 years ago and I still read it every once in a while.I miss my Dad.

Wow, I do have to say that my dad is the best one I could ask for. In fact, its really true - many girls one day hope to marry a guy like their dad.

TV Dads... hmm. I don't know. Movie Dads? Dr. Evil. Anyone who says "When a problem comes along, you must ZIP IT!" with sound effects cracks me up. What's wrong with a little world domination and a creepy hairless kitty?

I also had a great dad - my hero. (Seems like there were a lot of those, huh?) But if I have to pick a TV dad it would be Andy Griffith. He was great...well, except for naming the poor kid Opie, that was kinda cruel.

I don't know what I'd do without my dad, so I'd pick two. Joey and Michael from "My Two Dads." They were SO COOL!

Yeah, I gotta start off by saying I wouldn't trade my dad in the world either. BUT... if I had to pick a TV dad, I'm gonna go with the dad that Belushi plays in "According to Jim". Fun guy!

I would pick Brady's dad too. He was sort laid back and he wasn;t like Florence "Don;t play ball in the house" anal

Mr. Brady was a flaming homosexual though (not that there's anything wrong with that) but, not for Dad! haha

Hmm, a television Dad to call my own? I think I would pick Cliff huxtable from the Cosby Show as he was always entertaining which would be fun. Others in the running: Ward Cleaver, Frank Costanza and Sandy Cohen.

Could you pick more dysfunctional fathers? LOL.

I actually posted about my dad a few times before you were reading me... but he was a combination of Tony Soprano and Archie Bunker, with a little Ralph Kramden thrown in.
