When I was young, it seemed that life was so wonderful, a miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical. All the birds in the trees, well they'd be singing so happily, joyfully, playfully watching me. But then they sent me away to teach me how to be sensible, logical, responsible, practical. And they showed me a world where I could be so dependable, clinical, intellectual, cynical. There are times when all the world's asleep, the questions run too deep for such a simple man.

A somber day today. A kid in my bosses son's class lost both of his parents on 9/11.
History was re-written that day.
I'll always remember that view driving in.
I'll remember being a total little girl and a tourist. I just kept looking up.
I'll remember the sinking of my heart as I watched them fall live on tv 3000 miles away...

Very touching! The rememberance and reflection will always be there. The day we will never forget.

Thank you for posting this. I will never forget that day. The emotional pain from it still lingers, especially today spending it in reflection.
