The Best Candidates Money Can Buy

Well, election day is over. I am glad. As you all know, I live in NY. Here in the NY Metro area the TV stations cover and report news in NY, NJ, and CT....also known as the tri-state area. For about 3 months, every other commercial on TV was a political ad for the two NEW JERSEY Governor candidates John Corzine and Doug Forrester. This has been described as one of the dirtiest political races in history, and boy is that an understatement.

Forrester (R) and Corzine (D)...2 dirty fuckos Posted by Picasa

We've had to sit through ads like ones featuring an ex wife of Corzine bitching him out, accusations that Doug Forrester pocketed Pharmaceutical rebates, accusations of connections to mob bosses, gangsters, shady dealings, you name it. It was enough to make anyone sick. After hundreds of commercials, I couldn't tell you what either one stood for because all they did was attack one another. The sad part is, both these dudes are already millionaires. They spent over $100 million combined of their own money for a job that pays about $150,000 a year. Just goes to show how power corrupts.

Speaking of money and power.

NYC Mayor Bloomberg, the best Mayor money can buy......... Posted by Picasa

Mike Bloomberg is worth BILLIONS, yet he feels he has to be Mayor of NYC. Granted, the guy (Ferrer) who ran against him was a douche nozzle, and deserved to lose, but it makes me wonder why Bloomberg feels the need to be Mayor. Again, the quest for power, as if money isn't enough.

We wonder why only 48% (on average) of eligible voters in America actually vote. It's because of crap like this. We rank 125th in the world in voter turnout, 125th. The country that patrols the world and sets "the example" for democracy. Pretty sad huh? I have voted in every major and minor election since 1992. I find myself voting for the lesser of two evils more often than I find myself voting for a candidate I am passionate about and one who will look out for us.

It is apparent that we need a STRONG 3rd party in this country. A party that represents our interests, a party that goes to bat for the average American that gets up each day and busts their ass to pay the bills. Right now, the Republicans are corrupt dictators and the Democrats are weak, spineless, and have no agenda whatsoever. Some choice huh?

Choosing the lesser of 2 evils is definitely running rampant in voting these days. And over here CA pretty much gave Arnold a big "Fuck you" when voting against all of his proposed initiatives. I beyond annoyed with all the political/voting commercials by the time voting day came around. Ugh! I too am glad that voting day has come and gone.

i never thought i would ever agree with you on a political subject but i do on this one.except for your statement about voting for the lesser of two evils it sounded like you were very passionate of john kerry.however i do agree on a third party one that will take the best ideas from each party.now only if there were no religous right and no pro abortion crowd this might be possible.i won't hold my breath
