Bless Who?

So, when someone sneezes, how many seconds do you have to say "God Bless You" or "Bless You" before it is no longer applicable? I say 15 seconds tops, that is your window. Anything beyond that 15 second window is a bit late.

Sometimes, especially at work, someone will sneeze and you'll kind of hear it because you are so focused on what you are doing...and you'll say "Bless You" on a delay...maybe 30 seconds later...and the person who sneezed will look at you like "Huh???"

So, just keep your "Bless You's" within that 15 second window.

Also, you have to wait until the series of sneezes are over. Sometimes you think they are a 2 sneeze person and you start to say "bless you" and it turns out they are a 3 or 4 sneeze individual.

Now what is the rule if someone sneezes a couple of times and you say "bless you" then about 3 minutes later they sneeze again? Do you have to "bless" them again or does the initial "bless" cover it?

I believe wait till the whole series of sneezes are over then say "bless you". I mean if you went to a concert don't we usually wait to clap before the song is over?
I love when someone sneezes like 4 or 5 times and someone says "bless you" after each one. A bit much.

I think if you dont do it immediatly you miss your shot. Then you just look like your only doing it to save face.

The woman whose office is next to mine and I email each other "Bless you!" when we hear the other sneeze through the wall...then my bless you is time-stamped on the email! Plus it's better than yelling through the wall :)
