When I was young, it seemed that life was so wonderful,
a miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical. All the birds in the trees, well they'd be singing so happily, joyfully, playfully watching me. But then they sent me away to teach me how to be sensible, logical, responsible, practical. And they showed me a world where I could be so dependable, clinical, intellectual, cynical. There are times when all the world's asleep,
the questions run too deep for such a simple man.

A Day of Reflection
To all of those who lost loved ones 4 years ago today, our thoughts are with you.
A somber day today. A kid in my bosses son's class lost both of his parents on 9/11.

ReplyDeleteI'll remember being a total little girl and a tourist. I just kept looking up.
I'll remember the sinking of my heart as I watched them fall live on tv 3000 miles away...
